"Which Haruki Murakami book should I start with?"

This is a common question I get from lots of my friends/fellow readers. I always recommend starting off with "Blind Willow, Sleeping Woman"--a compilation of short stories. All embody the general feel of Murakami's work--each is like dipping your toe in a pool of Murakami and testing to see if you're ready to jump into his bigger works. But whatever you decide I'm sure you'll feel at least some of the supernatural magic embedded in all his books!
